Ms. Herman is currently a law clerk at Kinnett & Cordes and joined the firm in March 2023 while attending law school at the University of Denver.
Ms. Herman is originally from the East Coast and grew up in Connecticut. She graduated from Goucher College in Baltimore in 2010, earning her B.A. in Psychology with a dual minor in Political Science and Latin American Studies. Following graduation, Ms. Herman completed a year-long internship in Costa Rica with the Monteverde Institute, where she continued to develop her conversational Spanish skills. She then relocated to Colorado as a member of AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps. Upon her completion of AmeriCorps, Ms. Herman obtained an M.A. in Education and Human Development from the University of Colorado Denver in July 2016. She was a teacher with Denver Public Schools for five years before making the decision to go to law school. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in December 2024. While in law school, Ms. Herman interned with a local immigration firm, where she focused on Special Immigrant Juvenile Status matters and utilizing her Spanish. Ms. Herman also sat as a student liaison for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Colorado Bar Association.
When she is not in the office, Ms. Herman enjoys traveling with her children, especially for her family’s annual trip to Bethany Beach, Delaware, learning new fun facts, and trying out new recipes.
